Visualize Success

First Step to Success

Kevin Harrington, entrepreneur and business executive shared this comment: “I love this quote from Paul J. Meyer: “Whatever you vividly imagine, ardently desire, sincerely believe and enthusiastically act upon must inevitably come to pass.” When I understood that, I began waking up every morning and saying that quote, and I believe “It’s going to happen.” That’s how I overcome my fear, and that’s how I live my life. It doesn’t mean you’ll get it every time. Sometimes you have to reboot or hit the reset button and start over. But eventually, believing it and acting upon it make it happen.”

This statement really resonated with me. It goes hand in hand with my belief that “Goals are dreams that are taken seriously.” When I can clearly visualize accomplishing a goal, it usually happens and sometimes exactly the way that I pictured it! It’s almost like Deja Vu. The better I get at visualizing success, the bigger and faster it typically happens.

Now this isn’t the “magic pill” to success, it takes practice. So here is an exercise to help you visualize success:

1) Find a comfortable place.

2) Think of something you want to accomplish.

3) Close your eyes and try to picture it as if it is happening right now:

  • Where are you?
  • Who are you with?
  • What are you doing?
  • What emotions are you feeling?

4) Now, right down your dream. Be as vivid as possible.
